LateRooms.com - Enjoy Coppelia During Rome City Breaks
Coppelia will be performed in Rome this April, which may pique the interest of many art lovers heading to the Italian city.
ROME, ITALY, March 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ballet enthusiasts may want to make their way to the Teatro Nazionale in Rome this year to see a performance of Coppelia.
The classic show with music by Leo Delibes is set to hit the stage from Tuesday April 13th until Sunday 18th, although the only evening shows are at the weekend.
Theatre-goers planning their stay at accommodation in Rome may want to make some time to see this interpretation of the story of toymaker Dr Coppelius, who creates a lifelike doll and tries to bring her to life.
"Love triumphs over all in this comedy of mistaken identity and the finale is a breathtaking celebration of the lovers' marriage," explains the English National Ballet.
During the production, Dr Coppelius believes that he has actually managed to give life to one of his creations, but it turns out that he has become embroiled in something far different.
The show taking place at the Teatro Nazionale sees the concept of fragmentation amplified by moving the action to a film set, according to the venue.
It explained that stars such as Carla Fracci and Elisabetta Terabust have appeared in productions of Coppelia, which should give people an idea of the quality of the production.
Tickets for the performances can be purchased online or from the box office, starting from EUR19,45 (GBP17.72).
"The Coppelia is likely to be popular," said Jess Reading, head of marketing at LateRooms. "LateRooms strongly recommends people considering attending to book hotel Roma as soon as possible."
