MTV EXIT Concert Tour Kicks Off in Hanoi - AsiaRooms.com
Some of Vietnam's biggest music acts will take to the stage at the MTV EXIT concert in Hanoi.
HANOI, VIETNAM, March 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A special series of concerts to promote the MTV End Exploitation and Trafficking (EXIT) campaign is set to begin in Hanoi later this month.
The city's My Dinh Stadium will host a major free concert on Saturday March 27th, with local acts such as Ha Anh Tuan, Pham Anh Khoa and Phuong Vy due to perform.
Other confirmed artists include Australian singer Kate Miller-Heidke and South Korea's biggest boy band Super Junior.
Organised by the MTV Europe Foundation in partnership with several international agencies, MTV EXIT aims to raise awareness of human trafficking issues around the world.
Rock artist Pham Anh Khoa said he was "proud and excited" to be taking part in the MTV EXIT campaign.
"I encourage everyone to attend these free concert events and be a part of history," the singer added.
If the opening gig comes too soon for people using hotels in Hanoi , they may still be able to catch the subsequent concerts in Halong Bay and Can Tho next month.
The brief MTV EXIT tour will conclude with an event at the QK7 Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on April 17th, when US band The Click Five are set to headline the bill.
MTV EXIT director Simon Goff said: "The power and influence of music is a great force for change. By holding this concert tour across Vietnam, we are harnessing this power."
The My Dinh Stadium is located in Hanoi's Tu Liem district and can hold just over 40,000 people.
